Badging Security Processing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Process applicants, including foreign nationals, through security procedures to determine clearance requirements
• Evaluate and verify applicant-supplied information for completeness and accuracy
• Verify applicant identity and citizenship
• Perform fingerprinting for employees, contractors, and volunteers
• Capture biometric photographs for Personal Identity Verification
• Participate in onboarding activities and New Employee Orientation (NEO)
• Maintain databases and ensure quality control of information
• Conduct the badging process and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Brief customers on personnel security processes
• Provide administrative support and process improvement recommendations

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Familiarity with HSPD-12 requirements
• Familiarity with FIPS 201-1 standards
• Proficiency with MS Office 365

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher
• 2 years of experience in the security field
• Knowledge of federal government personnel security processes
• Familiarity with ServiceNow
