Backup Service Product Manager

Responsibilities

• Define, deploy, and supervise the backup service strategy and configuration for the Airbus Helicopters Group.
• Manage and optimize the backup/restore service budget, including service provider contracts, licenses, and maintenance.
• Act as the main interface and escalation manager for service providers regarding backup/restore service topics.
• Define and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure service reliability and quality.
• Serve as a Level 3 expert to assist in the resolution of complex incidents, changes, and problems.
• Lead projects for the deployment of backup services on new technical solutions and manage obsolescence strategies.
• Develop and implement automation and self-service solutions to enhance the end-user experience and service efficiency.
• Contribute to disaster response and recovery plan execution during crisis management scenarios.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience with backup/restore tools such as VEEAM, Networker, or NetBackup.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (network, technical infrastructure) and ITIL concepts.
• Proficiency in scripting languages to develop automation and improve service delivery.
• Experience managing production environments with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with international teams and stakeholders.
