Backend/Systems Agentic Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
• Make architectural decisions on system design, data modeling, and service boundaries
• Use AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate delivery
• Build and integrate LLM and agent-powered backend capabilities
• Optimize for performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed services
• Integrate with third-party financial APIs, brokerage systems, and cloud infrastructure
• Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting (Sentry, Datadog, etc.)
• Design and build reliable agent orchestration workflows using Temporal

Requirements

• At least 6 years of backend software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python or similar languages
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, RESTful/gRPC APIs, and microservices
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL database systems
• Fluency with AI coding tools and experience building with LLMs or agent frameworks
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in trading platforms, brokerage systems, or financial infrastructure
