Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend web services within a disruptive FinTech environment
- Utilize modern web frameworks and technologies to build scalable products
- Work within an Agile/Scrum development lifecycle
Requirements
- Extensive experience with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Experience with jQuery and modern frameworks like Angular, Ember, or React.js
- 1.5+ years of experience with Python and Flask (or 2.5+ years with similar frameworks)
- Extensive experience with SQL, APIs (REST, JSON-RPC), and Git/GitHub
- 1+ years of experience with Linux (Ubuntu and Bash preferred)
- Must be willing to relocate to the NYC metro area within 6-9 months
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous UI/UX design experience
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), unit testing, and functional testing
- Knowledge of Bitcoin development or public key cryptography
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Celery, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, AWS, or NoSQL
- Previous experience in the FinTech industry
