Backend Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and develop the backend development team
• Take responsibility for development within the cross-functional MarTech team
• Hire and build the team
• Collaborate with stakeholders
• Ensure high code quality and adherence to development best practices
• Interact with adjacent teams to improve system component interaction and optimize processes
• Implement AI approaches and technologies into team processes
• Improve code, architecture, services, and development approaches

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in leadership roles within development teams
• Strong people management and communication skills
• "Playing coach" mindset (capable of leading while still contributing code)
• 5+ years of commercial backend development experience
• Experience with PHP (Symfony) or Go (or a strong desire to work with this stack)
• Knowledge of SOLID, DDD, Microservices, Layered Architecture, GoF patterns, and Clean Code
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, etc.)
• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ and others)
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes
