Matic is on a mission to recapture lost time by revolutionizing home robotics. Their first product is a floor cleaning robot utilizing spatial AI, real-time 3D mapping, and on-device neural networks to provide reliable home automation while maintaining a privacy-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale internal tools that support and streamline production facilities
• Develop robust systems in Rust to improve manufacturing efficiency and reliability
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Production teams
• Identify opportunities to create tools and improve infrastructure for cross-team efficiency
• Act as an integral member of a small, high-impact software team

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in backend software development
• Proficiency in Rust or a strong systems programming background
• Experience building internal tooling or production support systems
• Ability to work cross-functionally with hardware and production teams
• Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment
• High level of maturity, ownership, and pride in work

• Ability to diagnose complex technical issues
• Experience driving projects from concept through to shipping
