Backend Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, operate and troubleshoot production services running in the cloud (especially AWS)
• Participate in prioritizing product evolutions based on data and business value
• Build scalable, resilient solutions and develop APIs
• Analyze production systems to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Passion for object-oriented and functional programming
• Automated testing, distributed systems, and security concepts
• Relational and NoSQL databases, queries, and data modeling
• Queues, topics, and async service communication (SQS, SNS, RabbitMQ)
• Interest in programming with Java, Kotlin, and/or Rust
• Cloud knowledge (especially AWS) and scalability mindset
• Linux, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, Docker, or Kafka
• Experience with microservices, async communication, and concurrency in distributed systems
