Backend Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable backend services using modern tools and frameworks
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions for new and existing systems
• Review code and contribute to a high standard of code quality and maintainability
• Improve tooling, refine processes, and share knowledge within the team
• Take technical lead on delivering large and complex backend systems changes

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in a scale-up environment
• High proficiency in Python, Rust, Go, or C++
• Experience with highly concurrent or asynchronous code
• Solid experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Comfort with modern web architectures and cloud platforms
• Experience owning projects end-to-end from planning to observability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating with LLM providers and building LLM-based products
• Experience with streaming or message queue systems like Redis Streams, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
• Experience with Kubernetes, including deploying and debugging production workloads
