Backend QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and execute tests for backend systems, including APIs, databases, and service integrations
• Validate API functionality and performance using tools such as Postman or Swagger
• Test and verify database operations, queries, and data integrity in PostgreSQL systems
• Collaborate with engineering teams to review pull requests and ensure code quality
• Support the development and maintenance of automated tests for backend services
• Document and track defects, test cases, and test results using test management tools
• Participate in reviewing backend infrastructure to identify reliability or performance issues

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience working with backend technologies, testing, or software development
• Proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript in backend environments
• Experience with SQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL, and validating data integrity
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of API testing, database testing, and integration testing practices
• Ability to review pull requests and backend architecture changes
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
