Backend Java Staff Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare low-level designs in collaboration with Solution/Software Architects
• Guide project teams on technology strategy, coding practices, and CI/CD
• Engage in hands-on coding to solve complex problems and remove technical impediments
• Partner with Product Owners on story creation and acceptance criteria
• Provide a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices to improve code quality
• Act as an active coach and mentor to maximize team potential

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in backend development
• Expertise in developing backend integrations and REST APIs using Spring framework
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and JUnit
• Hands-on experience with Microservices, Cloud, Docker, and DevOps CI/CD environments
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases, in-memory caching, and API Gateways
• Experience in Agile development environments
• Strong communication and leadership skills to align organizations on technical decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, Kubernetes, OpenAPI, Gradle, and Linux shell-scripting
• Knowledge of NodeJS, GoLang, or Python
• Experience in a Solution Architect or similar role
