Backend Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs following established architectural patterns
• Develop and maintain backend features for project management, resource allocation, time tracking, and expense management modules
• Participate in AI/ML feature development using LangChain4j and Spring AI frameworks
• Work with ORM to build complex database queries and optimize data access layers
• Implement business logic for approval workflows and process automation
• Integrate third-party services including accounting systems, CRM platforms, and authentication providers
• Develop scheduled background tasks, data synchronization, and forecasting
• Ensure proper security implementation through ACL and role-based access control

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Java backend development experience
• At least 2 years of experience working with the Spring Framework
• Proficiency with Spring Boot 3.x, Spring MVC, Spring AOP, and Spring WebSocket
• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational database management
• Strong understanding of Service Layer, Repository, Singleton, Factory, and Decorator patterns
• Experience with enterprise-level applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of multi-tenant architectures
• Exposure to project management or ERP systems
• Knowledge of React and REST API consumption patterns
• Experience with LangChain4j, Spring AI, or similar AI frameworks
• Experience with background processing frameworks like Quartz scheduler
• Experience with third-party integrations such as QuickBooks or Zapier
