Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for our cloud-based SaaS platform
• Contribute to scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-based backend workflows
• Support performance, reliability, and monitoring improvements across platform components
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver new features
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and backend technology decisions
• Follow engineering best practices in coding, testing, and deployment processes

Requirements

• 2+ years of backend development experience
• Proficiency in Java, Golang, C++, or similar programming languages
• Strong understanding of scalable backend systems, APIs, and cloud-native applications
• Solid grasp of data structures, networking, and system design basics
• Ability to debug complex issues and optimize system performance
• Strong ownership mindset with excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure in production environments
• Familiarity with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL systems
• Background in fast-paced startup or product-based environments
