Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design the data model and database systems at the core of the context repository
• Build versioning, change reviews, and automatic change reconciliation to keep context consistent and auditable
• Own the sync infrastructure that loads and reconciles data from every data source reliably
• Drive down retrieval times for hybrid search and ranking at scale
• Build permission-aware APIs that expose context to clients with security as a first principle
• Write clean, well-tested code that scales from design partners to enterprise users

Requirements

• Fluency in TypeScript and/or Python
• Deep command of asynchronous programming and API design
• Strong knowledge of databases, including graph or vector stores
• Experience with distributed systems, consistency, concurrency, caching, and queues
• Focus on reliability, security, and shipping features that scale
