Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable financial systems and products within a microservices architecture
• Collaborate with engineers across product, design, data, and compliance teams to ship high-quality code
• Solve complex problems related to real-world money movement and sensitive financial data at scale
• Create and maintain thorough documentation to support a growing, distributed organization

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience building, shipping, and growing non-trivial products and services
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems at scale
• An "act-like-an-owner" mentality with a bias toward taking action
• Strong communication skills and a passion for high-quality code and culture
• Experience with modern software engineering practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Node.js, TypeScript, and the NestJS framework
• Experience working with Kubernetes and AWS
• Experience in a microservices-oriented architecture
