Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices
• Optimize and manage databases for efficient data storage and retrieval
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for front-end and external service integration
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security through continuous monitoring
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Collaborate with front-end, product, and DevOps teams
• Debug and resolve backend issues to improve system reliability

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in backend development
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or Node.js
• Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• Expertise in building RESTful APIs
• Solid experience with microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of backend security practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with message queuing systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Experience with containerization and orchestration
• Knowledge of agile methodologies
• Prior experience leading backend projects and mentoring engineers
