Backend Engineer (Lending)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable financial systems and products within the lending division
• Collaborate with engineers, product, design, and data teams to ship high-quality code
• Solve complex technical problems related to real-world money movement and sensitive financial data at scale
• Create and maintain thorough technical documentation to support a growing organization
• Partner with cross-functional teams including compliance and operations to ensure system integrity

Requirements

• 3-7 years of professional experience building, shipping, and growing non-trivial products and services
• Proven ability to solve complex problems at scale
• Strong passion for software craftsmanship and high-quality code
• An "act-like-an-owner" mentality with a bias toward taking action
• Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Familiarity with NestJS framework
• Experience working within a microservices architecture using Kubernetes and AWS
• Background in fintech or handling sensitive financial transactions
