Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and operate backend services handling 1 billion+ monthly events
• Explore and release backend infrastructure for AI applications
• Design internal and public APIs and integrations with partners like Shopify and Zapier
• Own code from initial idea through to release
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define feature functionality

Requirements

• Proficiency in Golang, Node.js, or similar backend languages (Java, Python, PHP)
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases
• Strong critical thinking and root cause analysis skills
• For Senior roles: expertise in distributed systems and system design
• Ability to communicate technical problems in English to non-technical stakeholders
• Product-oriented mindset with a focus on user problems
