About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the Golang expert on the team, ensuring SDK experiences are idiomatic and meet community needs
- Utilize Node.js expertise to improve the in-house code generation framework
- Collaborate with various Stripe teams to release new APIs within the SDKs and optimize release processes
- Help lead the API design process by providing guidance on powerful and intuitive abstractions
- Support the developer community by engaging with users on open-source GitHub repositories
- Add support for new language features and streamline the API authoring process at Stripe
- Mentor and provide technical support to other team members
Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering experience across a wide range of products
- 3+ years of experience as a Golang software engineer
- Strong interest in working with multiple programming languages
- A deep passion for API design and improving developer experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building libraries and/or SDKs
- Proficiency in PHP and Ruby
- Knowledge of OpenAPI specification and Protobuf
