Backend Engineer

About the Company

depthfirst is building intelligence to detect and remediate critical software vulnerabilities. We are training and scaling security AI agents to discover zero-days vulnerabilities across large customer codebases and popular open source software.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship, set technical direction, and define best practices for backend engineering
• Architect and scale complex coding agent pipelines to scan and execute large codebases
• Build, maintain, and evolve evaluation benchmarks for AI agents
• Take ownership of product architecture, performance, and long-term success

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-time experience in backend software engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
• Proficiency in TypeScript or Python
• Ability to solve complex problems with simple, scalable solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with multiple programming languages
• Experience with agent orchestration or large-scale code execution
