Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, microservices, and server-side logic.
• Collaborate on schema design, query optimization, and data modeling for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Develop scalable solutions to support millions of users, optimizing for throughput, latency, and cost.
• Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to uphold high code quality standards.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Go, Python, or Ruby.
• Experience with frameworks like Spring Boot, Django, or Express.js.
• Expertise with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative communication skills.
