Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and build serverless microservices using AWS Lambda within a large TypeScript monorepo
• Own data and API layers by implementing REST APIs via API Gateway
• Work with DynamoDB and PostgreSQL (Aurora) for data storage
• Integrate event-driven architectures using SQS and EventBridge
• Scale AI-powered features including LLM-based agents and AI evaluation pipelines
• Maintain high code-quality standards with >85% test coverage using Jest
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical excellence

Requirements

• Practical experience with Node.js 18+ and TypeScript
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES2022+)
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, EventBridge)
• Experience designing REST APIs and event-driven microservices
• Familiarity with relational (PostgreSQL/Aurora) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases
• Experience working in large-scale monorepos with shared packages
• Ability to write clean, well-tested code using Jest
• Understanding of serverless architecture and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Experience working within Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Serverless Framework 3+ or AWS CloudFormation
• Familiarity with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch
• Experience with AWS AppSync, Cognito, Step Functions, or Bedrock
• Exposure to AI/LLM orchestration and agent frameworks
• Proficiency in Python (boto3, Lambda)
• Familiarity with Docker and LocalStack
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Turborepo
• Understanding of Yarn 4+ workspaces and monorepo dependency management
