Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Build highly available, secure, distributed systems in a microservices architecture
• Collaborate with engineers to work on complex challenges in large-scale computing
• Own, build and operate external customer facing systems with stringent SLAs
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain core product software and databases
• Continuously learn about new technologies

Requirements

• 3-6 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience building successful production software systems
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis
• Experience developing software services for scalability, performance, and reliability
• Experience with microservices and distributed architecture
• Proficiency in PHP, GoLang, Java, Python, or C# on UNIX/Linux platforms
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases and writing SQL queries
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in C, C++, Java, C#, GoLang, PHP, or Python
• Knowledge of database system internals
• Proficiency in object-oriented design and design patterns
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP APIs and services
• Working knowledge of Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and API Gateway
