Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend functionality from task to completed solution
• Work with API integrations for third-party providers
• Contribute to the gradual modernization of existing systems
• Translate business and regulatory needs into durable software solutions
• Identify uncertainties, risks, and blockers early and discuss solutions with the team
• Contribute ideas for improving solutions and workflows, including the use of AI

Requirements

• Experience with object-oriented programming in Java or C#
• Understanding of principles for readable, testable, and maintainable code
• Structured work approach with a focus on timely delivery
• Strong communication skills regarding progress, blockers, and dependencies
• Curiosity regarding complex systems and motivation to learn regulated business areas
• Interest in software design, integrations, AI, or mainframe technology
