About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables using broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers
- Skillfully cook and sauté dishes per recipes to ensure consistency and high-quality output
- Chop, slice, and prepare ingredients for prep, line, and sautéed dishes
- Maintain clean and sanitary workstations, including grills, fryers, and refrigeration equipment
- Stock and maintain sufficient food levels at line stations for smooth service
- Follow proper plate presentation, garnish setup, and portion control
- Handle, store, and rotate all products properly according to safety standards
- Assist in food prep during off-peak periods and follow kitchen closing checklists
Requirements
- Experience in kitchen preparation and/or cooking
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and health and safety guidelines
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 9 hours)
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40+ pounds
- Strong communication skills with managers and team members
- Passion for food and a positive attitude
