About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis for payment initiatives, including planning activities and coordinating deliverables across stakeholders
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements to create detailed specifications for development teams
- Partner with product architects and technical leads to define solution approaches aligned with message standards and operational needs
- Design and execute business test scenarios to validate requirements and confirm solution readiness
- Facilitate scoping for client payment change initiatives across domestic and international clearing environments
- Communicate with client subject matter experts to identify business needs and resolve product issues
Requirements
- 5+ years of business analysis experience within the payments industry
- 4+ years of experience in financial services payment processing (e.g., SWIFT, RTP, ACH, SEPA)
- 4+ years of experience analyzing payment flows, including qualification, returns, and exception handling
- 4+ years of experience mapping payment data to ISO 20022 MX formats
- Proficiency with SDLC practices, Jira, Git, and XML
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in banking payment operations
- Experience supporting client engagements and resolving inquiries independently
- Familiarity with payment change initiatives across multiple clearing environments
