BA Functional Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis for payment initiatives, including planning activities and coordinating deliverables across stakeholders
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements to create detailed specifications for development teams
• Partner with product architects and technical leads to define solution approaches aligned with message standards and operational needs
• Design and execute business test scenarios to validate requirements and confirm solution readiness
• Facilitate scoping for client payment change initiatives across domestic and international clearing environments
• Communicate with client subject matter experts to identify business needs and resolve product issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of business analysis experience within the payments industry
• 4+ years of experience in financial services payment processing (e.g., SWIFT, RTP, ACH, SEPA)
• 4+ years of experience analyzing payment flows, including qualification, returns, and exception handling
• 4+ years of experience mapping payment data to ISO 20022 MX formats
• Proficiency with SDLC practices, Jira, Git, and XML
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking payment operations
• Experience supporting client engagements and resolving inquiries independently
• Familiarity with payment change initiatives across multiple clearing environments
