B1 - Certifying Engineer - Base Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Carry out, supervise, and certify Base Maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft within the scope of CAR 66 B1 licence authorisation.
• Perform scheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, defect troubleshooting, and rectification in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and manuals.
• Sign off maintenance tasks performed or supervised, ensuring all documentation is completed to the required standard.
• Manage the safety of assigned tasks, ensuring all mandatory precautions and human factors are addressed to protect personnel and aircraft.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Technicians assigned to support maintenance tasks.
• Maintain cost awareness by minimizing waste of consumable materials and avoiding unnecessary repeat work.

Requirements

• Holds or has held an EASA Part 66 or GCAA CAR 66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance License with Airbus A320 maintenance approvals.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Base Maintenance environment.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience certifying maintenance on the Airbus A320 family of aircraft.
• In-depth knowledge of airframe and engine systems.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) for technical communications.
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted GCAA CAR 66 B1 Category License and a UAE driving license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
