Azure Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale data processing using the Azure stack
• Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and data workflows
• Utilize Python, PySpark, and Scala for efficient data manipulation and processing
• Work within Agile delivery environments to implement software development best practices
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to meet business requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the IT industry with a focus on data engineering
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Azure Data Engineering stack (Event Hub, Data Factory, Cosmos DB, Synapse, SQL DB, Databricks, and Data Explorer)
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Spark, Scala, Hive, and Impala
• Strong expertise in SQL development and coding
• Solid understanding of Modern Data Warehouse concepts and Lambda architecture
• Experience with scripting languages like Shell for automation
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure Data Engineer certification
• Experience with Azure Data Lake Analytics, U-SQL, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse
