Azure Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage Azure virtual machines, networking, and storage
• Administer Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID
• Optimize cloud costs (FinOps) and monitor budgets
• Configure Azure Monitor and performance tracking
• Administer Microsoft Defender for Cloud
• Manage Azure Backup, on-premises backups, and Microsoft 365 backup processes
• Execute quarterly Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and monitor RTO/RPO
• Design and implement Azure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Terraform or ARM templates
• Integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure for hybrid cloud solutions
• Ensure security compliance and governance across all environments
• Maintain architecture diagrams and operational documentation
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or architecture focusing on Microsoft Azure
• Strong understanding of Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, and Azure App Services
• Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell or Azure CLI
• Familiarity with cloud networking and security principles
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Expert or DevOps Engineer)
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Azure Monitor or Application Insights
