Azure Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and operate secure, scalable Azure infrastructure using well-architected patterns
• Own Azure networking including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, WAF, Private Endpoints, Routing and Gateways
• Modernise legacy VM-based workloads towards PaaS and platform services like Azure SQL MI, App Services, and containers
• Run and continuously refine Azure Virtual Desktop
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Bicep
• Build strong observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights and KQL
• Strengthen security posture with Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel
• Enable development teams by designing Azure platform foundations for CI/CD
• Produce clear documentation, diagrams and runbooks

Requirements

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure platform engineering
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Bicep
• Experience with Azure networking and security services
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Methodical approach to architecture, governance, and standards
• Legal right to work in the UK
