AWS Security Controls Specialist

Responsibilities

• Understand regulatory and commercial IT requirements to serve as a subject-matter expert for AWS security controls
• Write, articulate, and update security controls, policies, standards, and technical documentation
• Review evidence required to illustrate key controls across the AWS environment
• Communicate operational processes regarding AWS security practices and control implementation to stakeholders
• Communicate key risks and program improvement areas to leadership
• Field and address requests in collaboration with external auditors
• Dive deep into the AWS control environment to develop a technical understanding of control activities
• Bridge communication between technical communities and key stakeholders to articulate control implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in security frameworks (such as application security, identity and access controls, cloud security, or incident response)
• 3+ years of experience in process improvement procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in internal audit and risk management or equivalent
• Experience with security equipment such as intrusion detection devices or access control systems
• Experience with security code reviews, security infrastructure, or penetration testing
