AWS Platform Operations, Officer

Responsibilities

• Support AWS cloud native platform operations using Infrastructure as Code and operations as code practices
• Utilize Terraform and Harness for service enablement and automation
• Manage incidents, changes, and problems following ITSM principles
• Devise solutions to reduce MTTR and increase platform uptime
• Implement continuous monitoring, observability enhancements, and patch management solutions
• Manage releases to pre-production and production environments
• Participate in regular Disaster Recovery (DR) activities
• Monitor and report on cost optimization and show-back/charge-back metrics

Requirements

• 9+ years of IT experience in a hands-on role
• 3–5 years of experience designing and supporting AWS environments
• Proficiency in Terraform and Harness
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Java, or Shell
• Deep understanding of cloud-native design patterns and DevOps principles
• Experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions
• Knowledge of ITSM, monitoring tools, and SRE principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
• Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications
• Experience with Service Now, Splunk, or Grafana
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with automated testing tools
• Background in financial services or a highly regulated industry
