AWS Platform Operations Officer

Responsibilities

• Support AWS cloud-native platform operations using Infrastructure as Code and operations as code methodologies.
• Manage incident, change, and problem management processes (ITSM) to reduce MTTR and increase uptime.
• Implement continuous monitoring, observability refinements, and patch management solutions.
• Execute release management for pre-production and production environments.
• Participate in regular Disaster Recovery (DR) activities and maintain standardized metrics and reporting.
• Drive cost optimization through continuous vigilance and show-back/chargeback reporting.
• Utilize Terraform and Harness to automate service enablement and infrastructure deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 9+ years of IT experience in a hands-on role.
• 3–5 years of experience designing and supporting AWS environments.
• Proficiency in Terraform and Harness.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Java, or Shell.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native design patterns and DevOps principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
• Knowledge of observability and ITSM tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or ServiceNow.
• Experience with automated testing tools and OS management (Windows/Linux).
• Background in financial services or highly regulated industries.
• Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications.
