AWS Migration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute end-to-end migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to AWS using services like MGN and DMS.
• Conduct application and infrastructure assessments to determine cloud readiness and define migration roadmaps.
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient AWS architectures following the Well-Architected Framework.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Automate deployment workflows using CI/CD tools and monitor workloads for performance and cost optimization.
• Implement AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, encryption, and network security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical guidance and documentation.

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or IT infrastructure roles.
• Strong experience with AWS core services including EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC.
• Hands-on experience managing cloud migration projects (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or re-architecture).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts such as subnets, routing, and VPNs.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL database migrations and Linux/Windows server administration.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certifications such as Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or SysOps Administrator.
• Experience working in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
• Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Scripting knowledge in Python or Bash.
