About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with application development teams to understand deployment patterns and operational requirements
- Support customers in deploying and operating applications using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies
- Provide guidance on AWS best practices for scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and improvement opportunities impacting customer experience
- Coordinate with platform, security, and operations teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders through regular status updates and success reviews
- Advocate for customer needs while maintaining platform standards and governance
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services at scale
- 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure design
- 3+ years of experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD platforms such as Harness, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- Strong expertise in AWS core services including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, and VPC
- Deep understanding of container technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer certification
- Experience with AWS database services such as RDS, Aurora, or DynamoDB
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Chaos Engineering practices
- Prior experience working in financial services or highly regulated industries
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban)
