AWS Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer (L1/L2)

Responsibilities

• Monitor AWS cloud infrastructure using tools like CloudWatch and Datadog
• Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests within a 24x7 shift model
• Perform initial triage, severity assessment, and execute predefined runbooks
• Conduct basic troubleshooting for EC2, EBS, ELB/ALB, RDS, and IAM
• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure issues
• Manage AWS services including S3, VPC, CloudFront, Route 53, and Lambda
• Assist in automating routine tasks using Shell or Python scripting
• Maintain incident logs and update ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira
• Escalate complex issues to L3 teams with detailed documentation

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure support (L1/L2 roles)
• Strong understanding of core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS)
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems administration
• Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, or Nagios)
• Basic scripting knowledge in Shell or Python
• Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, and Load Balancing
• Ability to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment (nights, weekends, and holidays)

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate)
• Experience working in an MSP or multi-client environment
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and AWS security best practices
