AVP/VP, Control Room, Compliance

Responsibilities

• Manage daily conflicts checks for incoming deals and information management program activities
• Clear new deal NDAs by liaising with internal legal teams and external counterparties
• Execute wall crossing and market sounding processes for new deals
• Maintain the firm’s restricted list and other conflicts monitoring lists
• Partner with the Trading Compliance team to ensure proper operation of the compliance trading program
• Assess conflicts of interest and participate in materiality analyses regarding MNPI and confidential information
• Oversee and analyze reporting and analytics generated by offshore teams
• Update and maintain Compliance policies and procedures as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 7-10+ years of experience at a global investment adviser or investment bank in Control Room or conflicts management
• Experience with credit-based strategies, including private equity, private debt, and capital markets activities
• Familiarity with SEC regulatory review and interpretation of regulations
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments (private equity, credit, bank loans, high yield debt, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Bloomberg
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience working with an offshore service provider
