AVP - Underwriter, Primary Retail Casualty

Responsibilities

• Drive acceptable submission activity and determine risk acceptability in accordance with company guidelines
• Analyze and underwrite specific risks across diverse industries including Real Estate, Hospitality, Manufacturing, and Technology
• Utilize sophisticated pricing models across various structures such as guaranteed cost, captives, SIRs, and deductibles
• Apply strong technical underwriting skills through thorough account reviews and detailed file documentation
• Maintain and leverage established relationships with brokers and agents on both regional and national levels

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of underwriting or insurance experience
• Proven track record of profitable underwriting, quoting, and binding business
• Deep knowledge of General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Auto, and Umbrella coverages
• Experience working with large brokerage houses, agents, and specialty retailers
• Ability to use sophisticated pricing models and rating methodologies
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to assigned market territories
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
