AVP - Ratings, Structure Finance Group

Responsibilities

• Lead credit risk analysis for structured finance transactions and provide clear, well-reasoned rating recommendations
• Act as lead analyst in rating committees, presenting analysis and driving discussions
• Prepare high-quality research, including special comments, internal publications, and methodology papers
• Engage with investors, issuers, and intermediaries through meetings, presentations, and ongoing dialogue
• Conduct independent analysis of complex credit portfolios with minimal supervision
• Author insightful research on transactions, issuer developments, and sector trends
• Mentor and guide junior analysts to support team development
• Lead issuer meetings and maintain professional communication with market participants

Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of experience in banking or financial services
• Bachelor's degree required (postgraduate qualification preferred)
• Native Japanese proficiency and professional English proficiency
• Strong understanding of financial markets and the broader business environment
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• Specific expertise in structured finance
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and an interest in using AI tools to improve process efficiency
