AVP, Property Facultative Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and direct clients to drive organic premium growth.
• Underwrite within Property Facultative guidelines, supporting a collaborative two-headed underwriting approach.
• Achieve financial objectives for growth and profitability within the property facultative portfolio.
• Perform detailed risk analysis, including exposure, aggregation, and profitability, using internal models and market data.
• Represent the company through active engagement in on-site visits, industry conferences, and networking opportunities.
• Participate in special projects that support corporate objectives and strategic business plans.

Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of Property Facultative experience across both Broker Market and Direct channels.
• Demonstrated proficiency in individual risk and automatic underwriting.
• Proven ability to perform complex risk analysis and engage in effective negotiations.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with strong organizational abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other relevant software tools.
• Willingness to travel as required to support client relationships and business goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry designations such as ARe and/or CPCU.
