AVP, Internal Audit

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and deliver audit projects in line with Internal Audit methodology, ensuring high-quality outcomes and actionable recommendations.
• Manage multiple audit engagements from planning through to reporting and follow-up.
• Supervise, coach, and manage a team of audit professionals to support performance and capability development.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with business management, senior leadership, regulators, and external auditors.
• Support the annual risk assessment, maintenance of the audit universe, and the preparation of the regional audit plan.
• Promote the use of AI, data analytics, and process automation to increase audit coverage and optimize efficiencies.
• Conduct special assignments, including advisory reviews and fraud investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CIMA, or CPA.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of managerial experience.
• Deep expertise in the insurance industry (underwriting, claims, finance, or compliance).
• Strong understanding of risk-based audit methodologies, internal controls, and IIA Standards.
• Proficiency with data analytics tools and experience using AI tools within the audit process.
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex findings to senior audiences.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
