AVP Fund Accounting

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, including the review of accounting staff work and production of original workpapers.
• Review quarterly and annual GAAP/IFRS/LUX financial statements, footnote disclosures, and capital account summaries.
• Oversee the calculation of management fees, incentive fees, carry, and complex waterfall calculations.
• Assist with the preparation of US GAAP financial statements and quarterly/annual SEC filings (10K, 10Q, 8K, N-2).
• Monitor compliance with Fund Limited Partnership Agreements and credit facilities, including regulatory filings such as Form PF and ADV.
• Review daily and monthly NAV packages from fund administrators and oversee cash flow projections and daily cash management.
• Liaise with internal teams (Portfolio Managers, Tax, Investor Relations) and external auditors to meet all reporting deadlines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and internal controls.

Requirements

• 11+ years of relevant work experience in fund accounting or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics from an accredited institution.
• Deep knowledge of open-ended and closed-ended fund structures.
• Extensive experience with bank debt, bonds, CLO equity, and other fixed income products.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with VBA is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and mentor junior colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA license.
• Experience with Advent Geneva.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or AI automation tools.
• Experience working as an auditor within the alternative investment space.
