About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for US Public Credit portfolio companies and business development companies (BDCs)
- Assist with the preparation of US GAAP financial statements for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines
- Prepare quarterly GAAP consolidated financial statements for an SEC-registered investment advisor
- Oversee and review daily, monthly, and quarterly NAV packages from fund administrators
- Manage daily cash activities, including processing payments, approving invoices, and posting to the general ledger
- Coordinate with internal teams including portfolio managers, investor relations, legal, compliance, and tax
- Provide data for quarterly SEC filings and prepare quarterly waterfall calculations
- Ensure compliance reporting, including Form PF and ADV
- Participate in process reviews to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6-9 years of experience in fund accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles for financial instruments
- Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, macros)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification
- Public accounting experience, specifically with Big 4 firms
- Industry experience with bank debt
- Experience with Advent Geneva, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or Onestream
- Proficiency with PowerBI, Alteryx, or Anaplan
