AVP, Corporate Actuarial, Reserving & Loss Analytics

Responsibilities

• Own Reserving and Loss Analytics for the highly visible Programs’ book of business
• Collaborate with underwriting, pricing, claims, and finance to develop a common view of the business and identify emerging trends
• Lead projects across the Reserving & Loss Analytics Team and drive departmental efficiencies
• Provide proactive insights and ensure reserve analyses reflect portfolio changes to minimize volatility
• Apply innovative approaches and advanced analytics tools to provide greater business insights
• Manage regulatory communications, including NAIC Statement of Actuarial Opinion processes and SOX compliance
• Assume an active leadership role within the actuarial community, staying current on new methodologies and industry trends

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in progressively complex actuarial roles within the P&C insurance industry
• 5+ years of experience specifically within a Reserving function
• CAS Associate or Fellow designation
• Expert proficiency in Excel and SQL
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing actuarial teams
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive leadership and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI, Snowflake, or Python
• Knowledge of database and programming skills
