About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain relationships with municipal partners, community organizations, HOAs, developers, and other local stakeholders to support resilience initiatives.
  • Coordinate with technical engineers and subject matter experts to scope, plan, and implement adaptation projects from concept through completion.
  • Identify and prioritize community resilience opportunities across targeted geographies and perils in alignment with enterprise strategy.
  • Manage day-to-day project execution, including timelines, stakeholder coordination, issue resolution, and progress tracking.
  • Support the development of local and regional partner networks, including government agencies, utilities, and nonprofits.
  • Capture project outcomes, lessons learned, and successful practices to support internal reporting and model replication.
  • Communicate progress, milestones, and results to internal stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, urban planning, public policy, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in climate resilience, adaptation, community development, or infrastructure planning.
  • Proven experience in coalition-building across diverse stakeholder groups such as local government, engineers, and community advocates.
  • Strong project management expertise in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Solid technical foundation in climate hazards, resilient design principles, and the built environment.
  • Ability to travel to support project delivery in targeted communities and stakeholder engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications such as CEM, CFM, PMP, LEED AP, or ENV SP.
  • Experience working within the insurance industry or local government.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $127,000 to $183,000 based on skills and experience.
  • Eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program.
