AVP, AI Enterprise Architecture

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the enterprise AI architecture strategy, standards, and roadmaps to ensure scalable and secure AI capabilities.
• Act as the enterprise architecture representative in AI governance committees to contribute to frameworks and standards.
• Design scalable, modular, and secure agentic AI solutions and establish reusable reference architectures and patterns.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and guide the selection of foundation models (LLMs) and cloud-based AI services.
• Partner with data, risk, legal, and compliance teams to ensure data governance and mitigate AI-specific risks like bias and model drift.
• Lead architecture governance, compliance, and quality while mentoring technical leaders and architects.
• Translate business strategy into technical execution by defining use cases, success metrics, and business cases for AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (advanced degree preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture.
• Significant experience designing and implementing enterprise AI/ML platforms and solutions.
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, cloud AI services (e.g., AWS), and modern data technologies.
• Hands-on experience with foundation models, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and agentic AI patterns.
• Strong understanding of AI risks, governance frameworks, and regulatory considerations.
• Familiarity with Agile/Lean delivery and modern engineering practices such as CI/CD and MLOps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with standard enterprise architecture modeling practices such as ArchiMate or Bizzdesign.
• Proven track record of delivering complex software systems as both an engineer and an architect.
