AVP, Actuarial Pricing - Consumer Products

Responsibilities

• Manage pricing responsibilities for Travel Insurance and Warranty & Lenders Services
• Partner closely with underwriters to create individualized and creative deals
• Present actuarial reviews of large pricing deals to business unit leaders
• Handle specialized contract and data complexities, including unusual earnings patterns
• Collaborate with business units to achieve profitability and growth goals
• Innovate and maintain tech-based tools used for pricing and book monitoring
• Conduct actuarial studies to improve pricing parameters and segmentation
• Manage regulatory rate filings and work with the filings unit for approval
• Monitor and report on key business metrics and trends through profitability studies

Requirements

• 7+ years of P&C actuarial experience (strong candidates with 4+ years may be considered)
• P&C actuarial qualifications, with FCAS or ACAS preferred
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a theoretical foundation
• Excellent professional communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, and Power BI

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the US personal lines regulatory environment
• Experience with predictive modeling or other programming skills
• Ability to work effectively with large datasets
• Experience with catastrophe modeling
• Background in Travel or Lenders Insurance
