About the role
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on legal aspects of commercial and corporate transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate various transactional contracts including purchase agreements, NDAs, and partnership agreements
- Participate in the structuring and finalization of mergers, acquisitions, and business divestitures
- Conduct in-depth legal research to support transactional files
- Collaborate with other legal professionals, tax specialists, and consultants
- Manage files effectively and meet all imposed deadlines
Requirements
- Law degree and membership in good standing with the Barreau du Québec
- 4 to 6 years of practical experience in transactional law, ideally in a firm
- Deep mastery of laws governing commercial and corporate transactions
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously with rigor and autonomy
- Client-oriented approach and strong professional ethics
- Bilingualism in French and English (written and oral) is a significant asset
