About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform operational and functional tests and repairs of avionics and aircraft electronic systems
- Install and troubleshoot electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications and maintenance manuals
- Repair or replace defective components and wiring using splicing, soldering, and pinning techniques
- Set up and operate necessary test equipment to evaluate performance and reliability
- Document all work performed on aircraft to ensure readiness for inspection
- Comply with FOD, tool control, 5-S, and all safety regulations
- Support aircraft certification through potential flight tests as required
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 to 6 years of related experience in avionics or electrical aircraft fields, or equivalent accredited schooling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Valid driver's license (may be required)
Preferred Qualifications
- A&P license
- FCC license or NCATT certification
- Proficiency in hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, or environmental controls
- APU run and engine run qualifications
