Avionics/Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform operational and functional tests and repairs of avionics and aircraft electronic systems
• Install and troubleshoot electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications and maintenance manuals
• Repair or replace defective components and wiring using splicing, soldering, and pinning techniques
• Set up and operate necessary test equipment to evaluate performance and reliability
• Document all work performed on aircraft to ensure readiness for inspection
• Comply with FOD, tool control, 5-S, and all safety regulations
• Support aircraft certification through potential flight tests as required

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 2 to 6 years of related experience in avionics or electrical aircraft fields, or equivalent accredited schooling
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Valid driver's license (may be required)

Preferred Qualifications

• A&P license
• FCC license or NCATT certification
• Proficiency in hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, or environmental controls
• APU run and engine run qualifications
