Avionics Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and programs for space flight hardware and systems development
• Manage and conduct Acceptance, Qualification and Proto-Flight test programs
• Develop automated test hardware and test platforms
• Support design and development of space flight hardware for testability and manufacturability
• Support analysis of COTS component test levels against mission environmental requirements
• Contribute to engineering and business processes to support company growth
• Contribute to engineering best practices including test and design for manufacture

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline
• Experience with hardware development or electronics test engineering
• Understanding of electrical test equipment, test procedures, and data acquisition systems
• US citizenship required
• For Level II: 2+ years of experience in electronics test engineering, spacecraft systems, or hardware development

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in an engineering discipline
• Understanding of satellite subsystem interactions
• Programming experience in Python
• Experience in environmental design testing (vibration, shock, thermal, TVAC)
• Experience in hardware or spacecraft production environments
