Avionics Technician

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble electronic components of the Electron launch vehicle
• Perform HV Battery assembly, crimping, and wire harness construction
• Execute precision soldering of PCBs and avionics components
• Operate electrical, mechanical, and automated test equipment
• Inspect PCBs and wiring assemblies to high workmanship standards

Requirements

• Trade qualification in a relevant industry or 2+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in precision electrical and/or mechanical assembly
• Proficiency operating electrical and mechanical test equipment
• Working understanding of standard industry ESD policy
• Ability to manufacture components to high workmanship standards
• High level of eyesight for detailed inspection

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow manufacturing instructions and drawings
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both autonomously and in a team
• Computer literacy including comfort with smartphones and tablets
